Graffiti in Krog Street Tunnel

I hit up another graffiti spot recently. This time it was in Atlanta’s Cabbagetown neighborhood. These particular photos were taken in and around Krog Street Tunnel, which I had heard was a top spot in Atlanta for graffiti. The tunnel was definately covered in graffiti, however most of the graffiti was tags instead of murals. Walking through the tunnel was a little creepy. It was dimly lit and we almost expected someone to be sleeping in the place but it was empty when we walked through it. Being an amateur photographer, it was hard for me to get a lot of pictures in the tunnel itself because the lighting was so bad. Near the tunnel there was a lot of other graffiti around. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures.

That sucks that people have graffitied over the graffiti.

It doesn’t suck that dudes wrote over other graf. That’s part of the game. Plus it looks cool with multiple layers of art….

Pretty cool, I like those G W Bush stencils (or at least it looks like him). A really good stencil needs to be funny and with a message. But neither of those two qualities should overweigh the communication of the art.

OK there you go my backseat critic on Stencil art… that’s just because I’ve become a fan since I started collecting picture of the Dolk stuff. I collected a little “directory” of Dolk links and some of the top stencils he did on my blog.

I just got some shots of a Graffiti covered van which I am going to post shortly on my blog. Yes there are tons of graffiti covered vans, but I just like the stuff on this one more.

    Keep posting!

I got The Yellow Graffiti Van post up. Photo a little to large but I didn’t want to reize it more as it’s too small.

Check it out. It’s neat if you’re into graffiti - I mean the lettering and the technical details and quality. Then again, I wonder if anyone ever looks at that.

Nice shots. Surprised you didn’t get one of the Robert Mitchum portrait.
